My story

Please help us Build a Dream!  - Watch the video here www.tfmradio.com/cashforkids

TFM Radio & Magic 1170’s Cash for Kids has set itself the huge challenge to raise £45,000 to build a play / sensory room at Daisy Chain. This will be housed in the new but empty respite day centre which Daisy Chain has run out of funds to complete.

The campaign has been inspired by a letter which was read out on radio from Amanda Newton aged 24 from Stockton. Amanda who lives with her husband Chris and two children Naomi (5) and Bethany (2), written to children’s charity Cash for Kids pleading for help. Daisy Chain, a haven for children with Autism and Special Needs in Stockton has managed to build a new respite day centre from local fundraising. Unfortunately, the charity which supports at least 800 local children every year does not have the funds to complete the building. Amanda written on behalf of hundreds of families for help to raise the £45,000 desperately needed to build the sensory / play room.

The new centre will be used by children with special needs and provide part of the respite services at the farm. This means that they will provide support groups and activities for parents while their children are being cared for within the Day Centre. This support is vital to enabling families to maintain their cohesion and family life through the strains that can be evident when looking after a child with Autism. The completion of the new building will result in a comprehensive support facility unique in England.

Cash for Kids are looking for businesses, schools and individuals to either make a donation here or organise fundraising events and activities. To help with this appeal, please either call 01642 732555 or visit www.tfmradio.com where you can watch the video and find out more information.
