Well what can I say, as some of you will know I have spent the last 5 years or so in and out of hospital suffering from what seems like neurological health issues.  It doesn't matter who you are, one never knows what may happen in life.  My story includes me losing my eyesight (it returned yay!!!), losing my hair, suffering from nerve pains, losing feeling in my body (total numbness), gaining food allergies/intolerances and most recently suffering from what they believe was a seizure or at least some sort of blackout.

Anyway I figure enough is enough and I am only walking away with the positives from this experience.  I am an avid gym goer and where once upon a time it was just to help me keep fit etc I have decided now that I want to run the Sheffield half marathon.  Initially this was just for me just for the hell of it.  After my seizure/blackout though, I realised once again that life really is too short and we have to live everyday exactly how we want and for ourselves and others.  So I'm killing two birds with one stone.  I am running for me and I am running for charity.

My chosen charity Neurocare based at the Hallamshire hospital Sheffield help people with Neurological problems.  For me the Neurology department at the Sheffield Hallamshire have been part of my life saviours.  All the doctors and staff have been great and I just want to give a bit of something back.  So I guess, what better way.

Please dig deep and give whatever you can give.  Every single penny counts.  Despite my target of £1k I would still like to make more.  I'm a beginner at running but I'm doing it and training daily and weekly to get to my Goal and I'll do it.

I hope you can help.  Thanks Bunmi :-) x
