Thank you to all who supported the ball - it was a huge success and we raised over £20,000 - way over what we had expected. The money is going to be used to build five more classrooms at a much needed school in Helmand province. THANK YOU.

Our husbands are currently training for operations in Afghanistan as members of the British Army.  Whilst their contribution will take place on deployment, we have for the past three years been working to make our own contribution to Afghanistan.  The Afghan Appeal Fund links strongly with the British Forces’ hearts and minds campaign in that it aims to increase awareness of the plight of the Afghan people, particularly the children; and to raise funds to improve their situation, primarily through the construction of village schools.  To date we have raised £160,000 and are currently building three schools.

We are hoping to raise £10,000 through the Buzkashi Ball to build another school in Afghanistan. Your donation will not just go towards a better world for Afghan children, but a safer world for all our children.
