Story

This year celebrates the 10th anniversary of Byte Night, the IT industry’s annual sleep out in support of children’s charity Action for Children. Every year hundreds of individuals and teams from the IT industry spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of youth homelessness.

Byte Night 2008 will take place on October 3 and plans to be the biggest and best yet. Three hundred people (including ten LEWISites) are expected to sleep out in Potter's Field, London, hoping to raise over £500,000 in vital sponsorship for Action for Children.

This year will also see local Byte Night events in Birmingham, Manchester, Reading and Edinburgh on the same night. If you're in the area, and want to get involved, let us know and we'll put you in touch with a local organiser.

So, please sponsor the LEWIS team (it's proper outdoor stuff - no tents or anything!) and help the sleepers towards the £500,000 target!

Many thanks for your support,

The team at LEWIS
