My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In September I will be trekking for five days along and around the Great Wall to raise much needed funds for the Marie Curie Hospice, Newcastle – the largest in the North East.

I have committed to raise a minimum of £2,950 through sponsorship and fundraising events and I would appreciate any support you may be able to offer to help me reach this target.

I am currently organising a Fundraising Night to be held at Tynedale Fuction Suite, Hexham Mart on 4th May. Hexham Mart's Chris Armstrong will be conducting a huge auction of exciting items kindly donated by local businesses. Entertainment will be provided by Ernie Coe and friends, and there will be a raffle on the night. Tickets will be available from the Mart Office or directly from me for £12.50, and include supper.

It costs £20 an hour to provide a Marie Curie Nurse, so any donation or gift in kind you could offer will really make a difference to the hospice’s work.

As you may know, the Marie Curie Hospice, Newcastle provides expert care and the best possible quality of life for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses and support for their families, completely free of charge.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
