My story
Thank you for visiting Colmore Business District's Jurassic Coast Trek JustGiving page.
Team Colmore Business District (CBD) have walked the epic Jurassic Coast path of 95 miles to fundraise for the Children's Liver Disease Foundation. The team, made up of CBD Board Directors, office team members and guests, walked the path in South West England over four days, from Friday 5th October to Monday 8th October.
The team members are Tahreen Kutub, Sarah Skurr, Rob Valentine, Teri Tromans, Richard Thomas (joined the group on Sunday 7th October) and guest members, Ed Jones and Flo (Rob's dog).
Starting at Orcombe Point near Exmouth, the team walked many stretches of coastline to Old Harry Rocks near Bournemouth.
The team have been training hard on weekends to get fit for the challenge. Training walks have taken place at the Malverns, Long Mynd, the Peak District and the Wrekin.
Why your support is needed…
- Today and every day, at least two children will be diagnosed with a life-threatening liver disease
- Childhood liver disease affects all children of any age; babies, children and young people
- Liver disease affects more children than childhood leukaemia
Childhood liver disease has no cure; it means a lifetime of care
CLDF picks up the pieces and makes a difference by…
- Responding immediately to a family’s first needs – information, advice and support
- Giving the opportunity to meet other families living with liver disease
- Informing relatives and friends - providing advice and support
- Training healthcare professionals - to spot the early signs and support families
- Providing a young person’s programme
- Running a wide-ranging research programme
Any donations towards the trek will be greatly appreciated.
