Every seventh person in the UK has tinnitus. Tinnitus UK wants a world without tinnitus. They support and care for people with tinnitus, enable research on cures/treatments, train hearing professionals, advocate for policy change, and promote hearing protection for prevention.

Story

Tinnitus is neither a disease nor an illness.

It won't kill you and you can't see it.

It is something that, unless you suffer from it, you're unlikely to be able to understand.

You know when you've been too near a speaker in a club and your ears ring for a few hours afterwards - add other noises like white noise, the pumping of blood, a screaming sound - and imagine hearing that constantly, day and night, 24/7. That's what tinnitus can be like. Not much fun. The worst thing about tinnitus is that there is no cure - there are actions that can ease it but nothing that can get rid of it. So far.....

My mum suffers quietly from this and has done for years. For those of you that know her, or just know me, or know others who have to put up with this, please sponsor me and the money can be put towards finding ways to help tinnitus sufferers cope with this internal, lonely problem.

THANKYOU!!!
