On Tuesday 12th January 2010 the Cheadle Hulme School Year 7's will be taking part in a sponsored fun run in fancy dress. They are raising funds for the charity KIN (Kibera in Need) set up by Estelle Goodwin, a Cheadle Hulme School parent. KIN works to alleviate the effects of poverty in the Kibera slum, Nairobi, Kenya where in excess of 800,000 people endure inadequate housing and poor snaitation. KIN has a number of porjects in place supporting orphaned and vulnerable children and also funding their education. KIN also provides money for microfinance enabling Kibera residents to set up tiny businesses and earn and income and some dignity.
