I will be running the Great North Run on 20th September (it's a half marathon 13.1 miles) in aid of the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter, a private charity that has been established for over 100 years serving the North East of England. they receive no government funding so it's down to us kind and generous soles to dig deep and help them to care for the 3,000 lost, unwanted, injured, neglected and abused animals they take in every year. The aim of the shelter is to reunite lost animals with their owners, find loving homes for unwanted pets and provide special care and veterinary treatment for the injured and ill treated aminals.
