Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Some say that toenails are overrated and that its normal to walk with a limp. Others say it is better to buy shoes that fit than to borrow your daughters and suffer for miles. All we know is that time is a great healer and we have clearly forgotten what it was like last time. So we're back for more pain and more gain in....

CMT Walkathon 2 - the Sorequel

This time its personal - our Challenge has been upped to walk 20 miles of a circular (very very hilly) South Downs circuit raising money for Headway.

Meet the team

Mike - following last year's doping scandal Mike no longer has the advantage of beta blockers. Mike's body has however been completely rebuilt and his heart restarted so we are expecting great things from him on the flat

Mark - has trained extensively for 68% of the course. He is slightly worried about the remaining 42% . By the way 12% of all statistics are made up on the spot and maths was never his strong point.

Dave 'the wheels' - found it far too easy last time and only discovered he had developed a John Wayne swagger following the post walk pit stop. Dave remains constantly disappointed that he can't bring his road bike. Its a WALK Dave!

Tamsin - training has been going well and she is confident of posting a world beating time. If all else fails, contingency plans are in place and a new outfit and lipstick have been purchased.

Belinda - in a rare break of form, training has started! Belinda has started to think very strongly about how she is going to get round this time on a mix of tightly fitting shoes, nurofen, sports gels and optimism.

Martin 'the Stig' - the dark horse of the team. The effortless way he climbs every mountain, fords every stream, follows every rainbow, 'til he finds his dream. All we know is he's no Julie Andrews

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
