My story
I never thought running a marathon was for me. However, last year I hung out at mile 18 of the London marathon and cheered for participants of every shape and size (I yelled so much that I lost my voice). After that day, I was inspired to run it. I'm determined to train properly and make sure I complete it.
I'm raising money for the amazing charity Whizz-Kidz. We did the Neon Night Walk in July and I was greatly impressed by the work Whizz-Kidz does for disabled children. Our Whizz-Kidz ambassador Robyn showed us what a big difference having a customised wheelchair made in her life, especially by enabling her to participate at school and not have to sit on the sidelines. Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment, opportunites to meet and have fun, and training to help them gain skills and look forward to a better future.

I surpassed my target on Thursday! What a great feeling! Thank you to everyone who has supported me. Race day is only 2 days away, I'm excited (but also nervous) to join the other 35,000 running the marathon. I'm so proud to be on the Whizz-Kidz team!
