My story

Jack, Joff and Nick, three RGS pupils. 184 miles. On the weekend of the 24th/25th/26th three young fit and motivated students will take to the Welsh Highway on a conquest to raise money for a cause we all are personally attached to; Cancer Research UK. Each one of us has either lost or battling with the dreaded disease.

All of our lives have been affected in different ways but have all be caused by the disease. Living with one parent or living with one suffering from the disease is ever increasingly hard with the stress and grief ever present.

After talking recently about the stress of living with the disease and ontop of other factors, we thought of other young people in our situation and said we have to help find a cure or vaccine for this disease.

The 184 miles is no small challenge so we aim to do the cycle in 3 stages over 3 days starting by the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff and finish on Burkes Road Beaconsfield.

We will start at the millenium stadium around 10am in central Cardiff then move east to Newport Gwent Dragons Stadium around 15 miles north east, then over the Seven Bridge towards Bristol, then down the Bath Rugby Club. We hopefully will finish around 2/3 miles east of Bath.

On the next day we aim to take the A4 right across central England towards Reading's Madjeski Stadium where London Irish rugby club play and then stay overnight nearby.

On the final day we will battle on southern eastern towards the home of English rugby, Twickenham where we hope to see support and press waiting, but we don't finish there! We aim to finish in Beaconsfield after travelling to Adams Park first.

Thank you very much for any donation and support no matter how small we CAN beat cancer.

If you want to help support physically please contact Joff Forber or Jack Cameron. Thanks
