I am going to be a crew member on yacht "Team Finland" in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.

As I am now retired from full time architecture I decided I needed something to keep me occupied and out of trouble.
So I have signed up to do leg 6 of this amazing race "sailed by people like you" from San Francisco, through the Panama Canal to Jamaica. The race has already started and my boat is currently leading the fleet having won the first two races. I have five months to raise some money to assist support the Philip Green Memorial Trust which helps care and support disadvantaged children and is Clippers official charity.
Why on earth? Because I love sailing, because I want to do something different and because I reckon it may get me out of the baby sitting. I shall be a fully working member of the crew sharing the challenge and excitement of sailing the world oceans.
