Boultham Park is a wonderful green space to the south of Lincoln city centre. It is enjoyed and treasured by many people from across the city.

This exciting project will restore and improve the park's features and facilities, protecting and enhancing the park for generations to come.

The project is a joint venture by the City of Lincoln Council and Linkage Community Trust - a charity which provides care, education and employment for people with learning disabilities  -  with significant funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund, with additional support from other enthusiastic funders.

Through the project the park's fascinating history will be told, it will be the focus of community events and activities, opportunities for training and volunteering, as well as improving and introducing facilities for visitors. This will bring about huge benefits to the park, the local and wider community, and for the students and clients of Linkage.

Work is well underway refining the plans for the park and adjacent Linkage site which will include a cafe and education centre. But we aren't quite there yet. The Boultham Park capital appeal has a £250,000 target. Great progress has already been made but we still have some way to go, and every penny counts.

I've a long-held dream of wing-walking, and a passionate belief in the importance of what we're working towards at Boultham Park. A Christmas gift from my husband of a wing walk, to take place at Wickenby Airfield on 14th June this year, means that I can fulfil my dream and hopefully raise lots of money for the Boultham Park project at the same time.
