Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know I work at the Galleries of Justice Museum which is a fantastic Visitor Attraction taking you on an interactive tour of the history of Crime and Punishment and is also home to our very own character the Villainous Sheriff of Nottingham!!
Perhaps many of you may not know that we are also an educational charity who deliver projects to children and young people as the ‘National Centre for Citizenship and the Law’.
Each year we run a campaign called ‘Help a Nottinghamshire Child’ which aims to raise money to keep kids away from crime. This year we have created a programme of activities using the original Victorian Courtrooms and Edwardian Police Station at the Galleries of Justice to allow children to have firsthand experience of what it is like to take part in a criminal trial. By playing the different roles in the courtroom including that of the victim, the police and the perpetrator, they will be able to see what happens when a crime is committed and the negative effect it has on everyone, including their own friends and family. Together we can give our young people a head start in life, make them proud of their city and county and give them the skills to be good citizens. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure and what’s more they will never sell your personal details or send you unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now. It costs only £10 per child for one day’s activity and with your help, we would like to be able to provide the opportunity within the next year for 10,000 Nottinghamshire children to come to the Galleries of Justice Museum to learn about good citizenship which will encourage them to learn about the law and how to live within it. Thank you so much for your support... anything you can give will be greatly appreciated and if you are a taxpayer please tick the box for Gift aid as this will make a huge difference to the amount we can raise for ‘Help a Nottinghamshire Child’.
