Since 2005, Vital Regeneration has been working to reduce deprivation in London’s inner-city neighbourhoods. We believe that people should have equal access to life opportunities, regardless of where they live. We work with community centres, schools and employers to promote education, employment and enterprise. Our projects break down barriers, enabling people to engage, create, participate, learn, develop and aspire. My story

Ahem. So, as most of you probably know, I am not a runner. In fact, for many years I avoided it whenever I could. And as you all definitely know, I am not a native Londoner.

But I've decided to do something good for myself and my adoptive city and I'll be putting on my (sadly underused) running shoes, along with a Santa Suit, to run 5k in support of Vital Regeneration, a London-based charity working to bring education and housing opportunities to those without them. Vital Regeneration is a wonderful organisation working with teenagers, the elderly and the homeless to make London a more equitable place to live. PS--I, too, am sad I can't run in my Wonder Woman costume, but apparently everyone will be wearing a santa suit...
