Hi! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be running the "Every Step Counts 10k run" on Saturday 10 September in aid of the Adam Cole Foundation. I know that I am not completing a marathon but I would really appreciate it if you could donate money to the Foundation as it is a brilliant charity that really needs support.
The Adam Cole Foundation is a registered charity established four years ago following the tragic death of Adam and its aim is to make a positive difference to disadvanted children through sport. Adam loved all sport and we hope to support those children who have not had the opportunity to experience what sport can offer, which is to help build confidence, promote team spirit and, most importantly, is great fun.
The ACF helps children around the world play sport and receive the education we think every child deserves. Recently, money raised has:
- bought a minibus for the Southwark Tigers - an inner city mini rugby club in Southwark, London
- bought 218 bicycles for extremely poor children in NW Cambodia to enable them to pedal to school. In 2007, the ACF built 6 community centres in the region. We have just sent out a container full of footballs, toys, crayons, books, puzzles etc to the aforementioned centres.
This year we are entirely funding the construction of a new primary school in Cambodia. The school would educate 800 pupils.
