Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Cat, i have worked on ward S3 for 10 years as a staff nurse of which i enjoy. The reasons for me asking for donations for the childrens charity, is this year i watched the end of the London Marathon in April, it was very emotional that i was in tears but at the same time i could see what a great sense of acheivement. It moved me that much that i applied the next day. I found out in October that i had been successful and got a place. I straight away told my family and friends, i was in shock as i had got a place and it was the first time i had applied. Unfortunately my friend didnt get it, so i am running alone My friends think im mad as i have never done any kind of maraton before, but that just makes me more determind to succeed. I have started running in all kinds of weather and what keeps me motivated is knowing this is for a great cause.
I have had so much support from family and friends. I have two boys who give me so much encouragement. They make me smile with joy. My oldest is 7 years old, he asked me how long will it take me to get to the finish line, i replied about four hours, it was funny, his face dropped and he quietly said, four hours. I hope to see them at the finish line. I just hope now i am again successful and complete the run, however long it takes.
Once again thank you for all your support and donations.
