We arrived back at 0200 hours, to be met by some amazing hard core supporters & some fizz. I was struggling to walk, have loads of blisters, was not sea sick, & almost loved every minute of it!

As an update, I’ve received a fabulous off line donation of £287.50 care of the generous residents at General Johnson Court, Housing & Care 21. This is being paid into the charity office directly, so no fees are deducted. I’m very grateful to everyone who contributed, particularly Jean Walker (my Mum) who baked great cakes & inspired her co-residents to support me. Thank you

For some crazy reason I decided it was a good idea to join a bunch of emergency & paediatric medics in rowing from Jersey to Southampton. After all I can row & it’s a great cause.... I didn’t realise quite how far this is, across the major shipping lane, in a gig, with some very big waves...plus I’m not the best of seafarers...

Well I’ve signed up, I’ve been practicing, I’ve got the blisters to prove it!  I have an antiemetic plan too. Now I just need my lovely friends to please support me in this endeavour by donating as much as they can... I & the paediatric patients will be very grateful. The kids maybe big or small, with mental as well as physical health problems, the new specialist provision will serve them all, from Jersey to Southampton & throughout Wessex.
