Thank you for donating – it’s really helping give me a push in my final weeks of training for my 13.1 mile extravaganza.

 

I'm running for the Disasters Emergency Committee (www.dec.org.uk) as they support those in dire need of immediate relief … Gaza war, Burma cyclone, Congo conflict…and they spend a miniscule proportion of their funds on generating income (less than 5% compared to a big UK charity’s 25 odd percent).

 

Please also guess my running time (it’s a half marathon so 1 hour guesses are clearly not going to do it!) and whoever is closest I’ll refund your money and donate your wedge out of my own pocket.

 

Once you donate, your money goes directly to the charity minus a 5% admin charge (which isn’t bad given that the charity doesn’t have to process it manually).  Please also make sure you Gift Aid your donation if you’re a UK taxpayer.
