Ali tradically lost her short battle with cancer in October 2010 surrounded by those she loved. During those brief and incredibly difficult weeks, the Macmillan nurses were a constant source of hope and support to all friends and family involved.

This year I have decided to not just do my annual half marathon in March but go a step further and compete in the London Triathalon in July, as well as Britains "toughest Marathon" in Snowdonia in October.
