On Sunday July 3 I will be taking part in the Sellaronda Bike day in the Dolomites, and I am aiming to raise money, through sponsorship, for Campden Home Nursing and Chipping Campden Music Festival. I will be paying all my own travel and accommodation costs so any money you pledge will go in its entirety to my chosen charities. The money raised will be divided equally between Campden Home Nursing and Chipping Campden Music Festival. Your donations from this site will go direct to Campden Home Nursing who will then hand over half the money raised to the Music Festival. The Sellaronda course, which we will be riding, starts in the village of La Illa and finishes in the village of Corvara.. Four passes must be surmounted to finish the course. The total distance is approximately 65km
Passes: 1.Campolongo Pass: 5.8 km, Gradient: 6.1%, 2. Pordoi Pass: 9.2 km, Gradient: 6.9% 3. Sella Pass: 5.5 km, Gradient: 7.9%, 4. Gardena Pass: 5.8 km, Gradient: 4.3%
To make it simpler I am asking for sponsorship to finish the course rather than so much per km. So, if I don’t finish I don’t raise anything! No pressure there then.
