Hello Everyone who has taken the time to visit this page!

As you now know, after a month of so of campaigning and getting through the public vote and judge panel...I am representing the UK in the first ever 3 city 3 country 1 day triathlon! I am one of 20 for the UK and likewise 20 have been selected in France and Belgium too. The event is to take place Tuesday 14th September 2010 and is to start in Paris. The basic itinerary goes like this:

Monday 13th September: Stay overnight in hotel in Paris: pasta party and event organisation

Tuesday 14th September:

Morning- 1.5km Swim in Bassin de la Villette, Paris

Coach to station and then Eurostar to Brussels

Late Morning: 40km Bike in Brussels

Coach to station and then Eurostar to London

Afternoon: 10km Run in Regents Park

                     Shower

Evening: Drinks and awards ceremony at the Champagne Bar, St Pancras Station

....collapse and sleep for 4 days :) !

I feel privileged to be taking part in such a unique and selected event. Training is in full swing, as those around me now know, so hopefully we can make it worthwhile for my chosen charity R.A.F.T.

R.A.F.T is a charity which develops research in treating skin traumas such as burns, wounds and skin cancer. As you perhaps all know, I was involved in a petrol boat fire at the age of 9. As a result, I was left with some fairly nasty burns to my legs and arm. The recovery process including skin grafts with my own and donor skin, pressure garments and several operations over the years after the accident to reduce the size of the larger scars, was all thanks to such research. Had it not been for such developments, my scars would not be what they are today. This is my way of :

   a. showing myself what I am capable of doing despite the scars

   b. thanking and giving back something to those who spend their days finding new ways of making the lives of some unfortunate people more bearable

So whatever you may have in your pocket, be it 50p or £50, all contributions will be greatly appreciated and will be going to, I hope you agree, a very worthy cause.

And come and support me in the city of your choice...or all 3!!!! Thank you :)
