Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Most of you know that I have temporarily hung up my dancing shoes and have replaced them with trainers. For the last couple of months the blisters on my feet have been from my early morning runs rather than from dancing until the early hours in my killer heals. This temporary lifestyle change has all been in aid of the Bupa Great South Run which I volunteered to run for a charity called Wheelpower.Wheelpower is a very worthwhile charity providing opportunities, facilities and equipment which enable disabled people to play sport and lead healthy active lives. Sport provides tremendous benefits for people with disabilities: improved health and physical strength; increased self esteem and confidence; and improved social opportunities all of which result in a better quality of life and independence.
The Bupa Great South Run is a 10 mile road race on Sunday 25 October 2009 which starts in Portsmouth, follows the esplanade and finishes on the seafront in Southsea. Last week I completed the 10K N’pton run as part of my training programme and I am now looking forward…………sort of to the big race!
I would really appreciate any donation you are able to give me for this great cause. I will keep you all posted on how I get on with the run and will be sure to include a couple of horrific photos of me from the end of the race for the comedy facto
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
