One in 3 of us will get cancer.  As a therapist, I am faced each day with the reality of this illness.  Talking about cancer is not always an easy thing to do in the treatment room.  At first I struggled, but about two years ago, I went through Macmillan's cancer support training.  This offered me the opportunity to be able support my patients in a completely different way.  Since then, I have confidently supported many individuals who face cancer themselves as well as their families and carers.

Macmillan is a charity that is very close to my heart because of their practical approach.  The money raised is used very practically in supporting those with cancer.  It is for this reason that I am undertaking the China challenge in 2011. I ask you to dig deep and give freely if you know anyone who is affected by cancer. Do it for them.
