What are we trying to do?
10 members of staff from Charters School, Berkshire are doing the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest 2011. It is a 10K run with a difference. There are 16 obstacles thrown in to slow us down and to make the challenge more...erm...challenging! Please see the link below!
When is it? - Satursday 12th November
Where is it? - Battersea Power Station
Who is doing it?
Dave Ayres; Juliet Ball; Geoff Bull; Rob Deacon; Gary Devine; Rob Dunford; Nathan Green; Kirsty Metson; Steve Metson; Phil Wragg
Why are we doing it?
Our school had money allocated for a much needed sports facility as we had more demand than availability from our fantastic students. This has meant some clubs have had to be disbanded which is not what we are about. With the plans made and work ready to begin, we had the funding pulled. :-(
Not to be deterred, Charters School rolled up it's sleeves to start fundraising to replace the original sum. ;-)
How much do we need? £2,000,000 (not a typo)
The whole fundraising is a long road ahead but if we keep chipping away with generous donations, one day we will get there.
Whatever you donate, thank you.
