Help support Cheetah Outreach - www.cheetah.co.za
Cheetahs are phenomenal - achieving speeds in excess of 70m.p.h. for short bursts. Sadly, through loss of habitat and conflict with man, numbers have fallen dramatically. When our grandparents were born, there were 100 000 cheetahs or more. Today there are only around 7,500 left in the wild, worldwide.
It is our hope that our grandchildren also get to live in a world where there are cheetahs running free.
Cheetah Outreach is an education and community-based programme created to raise awareness of the plight of the cheetah in the wild and to campaign for its survival.
In parallel to using cheetahs as ambassadors cats to promote conservation, Cheetah Outreach operates an Anatolian Shepherd Dog guarding programme for farmers throughout South Africa. Dogs are placed on the farms to protect the livestock, working as a form of non-lethal predator control.
Cheetah Outreach is based at Stellenbosch, South Africa and relies on public donations and sponsorship to continue fighting this decline in cheetah numbers. PLEASE HELP BY DONATING
Cheetah Outreach is affiliated in the UK with Wildlife Heritage Foundation, (Registered charity 1104420). Wildlife Heritage foundation is the UK's largest specialist BIG CAT breeding and conservation centre. 15% of donations raised will go to WHF.
