I am taking part in Lock Up Your Boss - a unique fundraising event organised by St Anne's Hospice.  I decided to support St Anne's Hospice because they do such valuable work helping and supporting patients and their relatives.

On Friday 20th November I will be spending the morning behind bars for my crimes against fashion.  In order that I can be released I need to raise as much money as possible for my bail!

Please dig deep in your pockets and sponsor me, the money is going to an excellent cause.

Some information about St Anne's Hospice:

·         ’s Hospice is the largest hospice in Greater Manchester and a key part of the community.

·         As an independent local charity, with 58 inpatient beds, ’s employ over 300 staff and are supported by over 700 volunteers.  They serve a population of around 1.2 million people within , Salford, Trafford, Stockport and parts of .

·         Over 3,000 people use the services each year and all care is provided free of charge.

·         Over a third of the patients return home after receiving care.

·         Although the majority of patients are admitted with cancer-related illnesses, services are also open to patients with illnesses such as chronic heart failure, chronic lung disease and neurological diseases such as motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

·         For approximately two thirds of their funding ’s rely on the generosity of the public

·         For every £1 ’s spend, 92p is spent directly on the costs of patient care and the services that support its provision.

·         ’s is a recognised centre of excellence for specialist palliative care. Their goal is to achieve the best quality of life for patients and their families, addressing all of the patient’s needs from the physical, such as pain relief and symptom control, to the psychological and spiritual care.
