We are raising money for Connor!
Conor is 13 and has severe learning difficulties due to a genetic disorder. He lives in Manchester.
He needs a specially adapted trike which will allow Conor to participate in outdoor activities with his Mum and his peers. This will greatly increase his self esteem, confidence and muscle tone. It will also allow him to socialise with other children in the neighbourhood.
This will be beneficial to his interaction with friends, family and assist him in a more normal life. It will give Conor an opportunity to fulfil his potential.
The equipment costs £510.
As you can see from the pictures Connor has aleady had a go on his bike and loves it. However it needs to be paid for!
In order to raise these funds myself and four other fellow students at The University of Manchester are working with the charity Children Today to organise and particpate in a sponsered fancy dress cycling marathon so please be generous and donate to our cause.
The charity is called Children Today, they have a website (www.childrentoday.org.uk) and their registered charity number is 1037402. Any funds raised above the target will go to the charity so that they can help other Children.
