Hello!
We're raising money for Community Projects Africa towards the project that Stephen, Karyn and Marilyn will be carrying out in October 2009. The project takes place at Choba Primary School in Pangani on the East coast of Tanzania. We're going to help finish off the build for a primary school class room and dig the toilets. If you can spare a few moments, simply read the short text on this webpage to know all you need to know about what it is we're off to Africa to do: http://www.communityprojectsafrica.org/projects_13.html. This says it all!
Making A Difference (MAD) is expensive and the entire trip will cost over £10,000. A fair chunk of this is being funded from our own personal resources. Part of it is funded from Moat's Packer Prize. Helping us towards this £500 goal is much appreciated. We've previously raised just over £1k for Shelter, however, we are now transferring this money to Community Projects Africa where it will be used to purchase materials for the project and for the benefit of the local community as this is necessary for the success of the project. We hope you are happy with this arrangement. So a BIG thank you to so many of our friends who previously responded to our call for sponsorship via www.justgiving.com/MADinAfrica. Donations to our Nationwide account, or to us via PayPal are also appreciated. Join our group on Facebook called MAD in Africa to find out how and to keep in touch with us as we prepare for this amazing adventure into Africa. Alternatively email marilyn.dicara@moat.co.uk for details.
