The Stonehaven and District Radio Car Club is holding a 24 hour endurance race to raise money for the Archie Foundation (Aberdeen Childrens Hospital). A normal race is 5 minutes and you would do around 5 races in a day, covering a total of around 100 laps. As a team, we hope to race for 24 hours and cover 3000 - 4000 laps which is around the 400 miles mark!
This wont be easy and will require a lot of concentration due to the 50mph speeds involved.
The track we are using is purpose built outdoor track. As this is a 24hour race, we have sourced floodlights which have been kindly donated by www.hirestation.co.uk FOR FREE. Hire Station, based in Edinburgh, provide a wide range of equipment for hire to the Aberdeen area with multiple delivery / collection runs every week. I am very grateful to Hire Station for supporting us during this event.
Please please sponsor me as The Archie Foundation is such a worthy cause and really deserves all the help we can provide.
