Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I felt I owed a debt of gratitude to the team who carried out my heart surgery last year.  It has been 15 months (written Oct 1 2009) since my operation.

So, having got my head back in place I have decided to go back to competing in Motorsport and will be doing the Radical UK series during 2010 ( thats four wheels this time, not two it hurts to much for those of you who do not know)

While having my race suit made I decided to carry the Harefield and Brompton logo, this started me thinking and before I knew it I had signed up to be a fundraiser for them, hoping to give back and ensure this facility is in place to help many others.

Harefield loved the story and they intend to follow and include detail of my results in thier newsletters, with the hope that with this story it will help others understand that thier is life after Heart Surgery and here is living, breathing proof.

Getting a licence had its challenges given the application form stated following a heart attack or heart surgery special circumstances apply, anyway having not letting a couple of minor considerations get in the way I now have licence in hand.

I will be keeping you up to date on how the racing goes via this page so its worth logging in regularly, if nothing else I am sure it will provide you with a good laugh.
