Whether or not we support the wars our armed forces are fighting, we must support the troops who are bravely doing their jobs despite the incredible dangers they face. Sadly the world has become an ever increasing selfish place but these individuals on a daily basis put others before themselves to the extent that they are willing to sacrifice their lives.

Constantly we are reminded of the casualties of lives lost, each one causing a magnitude of devastation for those families and friends involved. However casualties don't stop there with growing numbers of young men and women returning from selfless acts of bravery who are now left with serious injuries both physically and mentally.

Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. We ask our supporters to “do their bit” to show these extraordinary young men and women that they are cared for by us.

Having children changes the perspective of your world to the extent that things happening to others seem much closer to home and for me every casualty seems to have more and more of an impact.

We should all feel proud of the incredible work and sacrifice the men and women of our armed forces make so please take this opportunity to support them.
