Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Sheffield 10k great North run in memory of my Son Joe Tyler and in aid of Amys Retreat a charity which pays for poorly children and thier Familes to enjoy breaks at Centre Parcs.
Joe was diagnosed with ALL Leukeamia in August 2008.He got through his intensive period of treatment and eventually was about to be put onto telephone maintenance, unfortunatly he developed an infection and after a period in intensive care in Sheffield Childrens he sadly passed away on 27.11.09.(This was very unexpected).Joe was about to turn 4 on 20.12.09. During his time in ICU Joe underwent major surgery and had his portacath removed. He amazed the doctors by coming through this operation even though his blood counts were very low. My son was an amazingly brave little boy who loved life and lived it to the full. Joe was still a little boy despite his illness and did not let it get in the way of doing all the things he loved to do. He had a fantastic time at Centre parcs and especially loved the car he was pushed around in and the playparks with the swings and slides etc. Please donate all you can so other poorly children and thier familes can enjoy Centre Parcs as much as Joe did.
