Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Please see below about a charity event for which I would like your support.
Along with 160 others I will be cycling 92 miles on the 15 May 2010 from Burleigh College in Loughborough to Skegness.
The event is in memory of Tom Walker and is in support of the Bone Cancer Research Trust. Tom was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2006 aged 16 after complaining of a pain in his shoulder. Tom had a positive outlook on life despite many months of chemotherapy and the forequarter amputation he endured. He was awarded the Wellchild award in his age group in 2007 and also received the prestigious Diana award. Tom passed away in February 2008 at just 18 years old.His family wish to raise awareness and much needed funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. 90% of all new cases of Primary Bone Cancer (PBC) will develop in teenagers.
I hope that by taking part in this event that I can also help raise awareness of PBC, the Trust and also raise funds for such a good cause.
Your support is much appreciated.
kind regards
Chris
