As you may or may not know my 8 year old daughter Francesca suffers
from a liver disease called Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. I have
completed the Bupa Great Birmingham half marathon three times and with the help of my family and friends have raised over £1000
for the Childrens Liver Disease Foundation.
This year I would love to raise another £1000, so I am going to run not one full marathon but two! I will be running the London marathon on 26th April 2015 and then the Edinburgh marathon on 31st May 2015.
Since being diagnosed
with Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency in 2007
Francesca has gone from strength to strength and is still in good
health.
CLDF provided my family with a great deal of support and information when Francesca was diagnosed, aged 8 weeks old, and since then the charity has always been very close to our hearts. I'd like to help to make sure that they can continue to provide support to other families that have children with liver disease.
