My story

 

Hello,

On Sunday 1st July 2007 at 8.35am I will be running the British 5k Women's London Run in Hyde Park to raise money for the Fibromyalgia Association UK, and would welcome your support. I have chosen this charity as my sister Andriana has had fibromyalgia for over 8 years.

Fibromyalgia is a debilitating health condition that causes widespread pain and fatigue around the body. It reduces energy and mobility levels and can have a hugely disruptive effect on an individual's quality of life. As yet there is no known cause or cure. It is a frustrating condition as sufferer's often show no visible symptoms and it can be very difficult to diagnose, which can leave them feeling isolated and unsupported. It is therefore important for charities such as the Fibromyalgia Association UK to continue to create awareness of this condition and provide vital support to those who have it.
