We will be taking part in COCO’s inaugural Route 66 Cycle Challenge, a day’s cycle challenge that takes in some of Northumberland’s untouched villages.
This is a 66 mile circular challenge that takes between 4—7 hours and ascends to 1217 metres.
We will set off from Newcastle on Saturday morning and will race through villages including Ponteland, Whalton, Meldon, Coldrife, Wallington, Matfen and Dissington.
Our team challenge is to not only raise an enormous amount of money for COCO but also complete the course at least 30 minutes before our colleagues.
The Route 66 route will be tough challenge even though we have each trained hard for many months.
