I am raising funds for the Bodyshop at Home Charity, Children on the Edge.
Children On The Edge is an international Children’s charity founded in 1990 by Dame Anita Roddick in response to heart breaking footage of the suffering and neglect of Romanian orphans after the fall of Communism.
Since 1990 Children On The Edge have expanded their work across Eastern Europe, the Balkans and Asia, touching the lives of thousands of vulnerable children.Today, Children on the Edge exists for the most vulnerable and marginalised child worldwide, ensuring they are heard and are not invisible, are protected and have their needs met, advocating for all of their rights in accordance with the principles and provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The vision of Children on the Edge is a world where all children are able to grow up in a loving and stable environment. Where regardless of their race, nationality or parentage, they have equal access to the skills and opportunities that will allow them to fulfill their potential wherever they live in the world.
The Body Shop At Home is committed to fundraising for Children On The Edge and each year the Regions pull together to deliver the latest Children On The Edge Fundraising Challenge. In 2008 The Body Shop At Home™ raised £123,000 for Children On The Edge.
