Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2012 · 7 October 2012 ·

Our mission is to make the discoveries that defeat cancer. Our vision is that people can live their lives free of cancer as a life-threatening disease. We work on all cancer types incl. children's cancers, pancreatic, brain and lung cancer. Please support our work and help us defeat cancer.

Story

So, in October I'm going to be running a half marathon (I'm really scared) and the money I raise will be going to my work, The Institute of Cancer Research. It's a really worthwhile charity- the money will go towards keeping the excellent work they've been doing in cancer research going. They work in partnership with the Royal Marsden, and I'm sure many of us know at least one person who has been treated at the RMH. So, I'd be really really grateful if you could donate anything you can spare so the ICR and the Royal Marsden can keep up the good work and carry on helping cancer patients win their fight.

I also apologise to everyone who lives in the Purley/Croydon area if you happen to see me whilst training- I'm likely to be wearing some sort of lycra (yes!) and looking very red and sweaty. The plus side is, I can get away with eating more cake.

Thank you all so much (in advance) for your generosity =)
