On Sunday, 13th September, I'm going to attempt my first open water 1-mile swim across Lake Windermere in order to raise money for Nick's charity - Henshaws. Anyone who has met the inspirational visually-impaired people who are helped by Henshaws cannot fail but to be motivated into action - and that's why I'm donning a wet suit and joining thousands of other mad souls who are swimming across a freezing lake in the British autumn!
