Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
As many of you already know, I had a horse riding accident in September this year. If it had not been for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance I would not be here. I will forever be grateful for the way a helicopter load of medics landed in a remote field in Cookham on a hot sunday afternoon, and spent an hour treating me for severe agony and trauma and then flew me to Wexham Hospital for emergency treament. All for free too! My only regret is that for my first ever helicopter trip, I was unconscious throughout!
I was shocked to discover afterwards that the Air Ambulance Service is not a publicly funded organisation and relies on its funding solely from charitable donations. In view of this, I have decided to partake in a bit of fund raising for this esential public service.
My family and I (including Connor) are taking part in the Santa Fun run (5 miles through Marlow) in order to raise money for this invaluable service. Most of my team will be running but I am doing it in my wheel chair!! Next year, I intend to ditch the wheel chair and run!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks!!
