My story

 

I'm running the Adidas 5k on Sunday in aid of the charity I work for -  I CAN, who help children with speech and language difficulties. Communication difficulties are not life threatening, but they are life limiting: Children who find communicating hard,  find everything hard - even the basics like reading, writing and making friends.  

Nobody wants children to be left out and left behind, but it happens because communication difficulties are invisible and often mistaken for something else or not noticed at all.  Through our amazing schools and UK-wide network of passionate and caring experts, we are on a mission to ensure children get the right help at the right time.

The run is this Sunday and I have been training hard for it over the past 2 weeks by drinking champagne. Having just been hiking (of sorts) at 4000m altitude I'm hoping that I'm going to find running in Hyde Park a breeze. And if not that, then a good laugh.

I therefore hope you can find it in your hearts and wallets to sponsor me today. I have a target of just £100 which I'd love to get to in the next 4 days.
