Hi ya,
I am running the London Marathon in April next year. As you might know most places are now gained by running for a charity, the charity I have chosen to run for is LOOK the National Federation of Families with Visually Impaired Children. It provides practical and emotional support and information for parents from diagnosis (when a parent will hear the words "I'm sorry but I'm afraid your child has little or no sight") onwards. It also runs a youth project to aid visually impaired children to meet others and develop new skills.
I have always wanted to run the London Marathon, not that I've every run further than 5k's, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Such a good idea that half of my family now seem to be running it with me. Its funny, because if you told me that running 26.2 miles wouldn't be the scariest thing about the marathon I wouldn't have believed you, but now my biggest fear is letting down the charity by not raising a good sum for them. So please help me and them by giving as much as you can. Thank you x
