I am volunteering for a Childrens and Babies Home in a place called Moyo in Northern Uganda. I will be helping the Homes improve their financial management and accounting systems (yes, the nerdiest volunteering you've probably ever heard of!).

 

The Homes are funded by an organisation called International Refugees Trust but are in need of further funding. The Homes need funding for food, clothing, schooling and wages of the care assistants, amongst other things. The region that these Homes are situated in was where Kony and his LRA terrorised thousands of innocent people a decade ago. Alot of the children in the Homes were directly affected by the LRA and need all the help they can get now.
