Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
During the Summer of 2012, myself (J.Brailsford) and 14 (provisional) others plan to travel to the land of Wales, and climb all six peaks of Cader Idris.
Sounds simple and easy doesn't it?
If you're an experienced climber, it is. For a group of 15 and 16 year old boys and girls, not so much. Unlike its big brother, Snowdon, Cader has less visible paths, and poses a much higher risk of injury, it also entails these teenagers having to get up at 5am, possibly the hardest challenge they'll face.
Jokes aside, we're doing this for many reasons, mainly however, because we want to help. All of us in some way have experienced cancer and seen first hand the effects which it has on family and friends. We know it's not much, but it's all we can do, and we want to do it. For all of us, it will be our first time away from home with no supervision, and for most of them it will be the first time they have ever tackled a mountain.
We ask that if you do nothing else today, just donate something, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 or more, it all adds up.
From all of us, thankyou for taking the time to read this.
