On April 24th, Thea Naikelis and Colin Groark will be riding to support the charity they volunteered with in Arusha, Tanzania. Cycling alongside friends, family, and supporters, they will go on a leisurely ride in the DC area to raise money and spread the word on the Umoja Centre.

All donations will go directly to the Umoja Centre, an alternative education NGO in Tanzania that assists 40 disadvantaged young adults each year who have been denied an education through the public system. These eager young learners take an array of classes from science and English to Business Skills and Citizen Rights to help them develop as students, professionals, and Tanzanian citizens. Each student also recieves support upon graduating to guide him or her onto the next step.

Umoja is really a wonderful organization and we hope this ride will raise some much needed money to support its programs and expansion.
