Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you know, I am an unfit, overweight 54 year old, and spend most of my time on a plane selling software to a 1/3rd of the world.

Last summer I watched Eddie Izzard's 43 marathon odyssey, and thought "If he can do 43 marathons, then I can at least do 1!". So since September, I've been buildng up the runs and training for the Dubai Marathon, which is on January 21st.

The training has been sporadic (too little time at home) and hard (i.e. knackering!), but I recently completed the Dubai Creek Half Marathon, (limping in with a time of 2 hr 05mins 05 secs!). I've also 'just' managed  to get a few 30 kms runs under my belt, so I'm at almost 3/4 of the distance, only 12 kms to crawl to the finish!

As you know, our youngest daughter, Lori, was born in Cambodia. So I decided to raise money for the Kais Kids Village, near Phnom Penh, who looked after Lori for her first 10 months, and helped us enormously with the adoption. We are taking both of the girls (Leigh and Lori) on holiday to Vietnam and Cambodia in April, and Lori really wants to take something for the children in the orphanage.

So ..... please let's get a big sum of cash to take with us for this centre, as they are in desperate needs of funds.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
