August 2 2010 was "black Monday" in the town of Zug, Switzerland. It was early hours of this fateful day when I lost my dear brother and many more in this town lost a beloved friend. We lost him to suicide brought about by a severe episode of bipolar depression. Despite the passing of time, I continue to share a state of disbelief with those close to him. This is the point. This subtle yet insidious disease can descend on the brightest of personalities and those most loving of lifes pleasures. One of Nigel's life pleasures was giving, whether it be monetary or equally valuably his time to empathize with a friend and help them improve their life in some way. My experience since this event has illustrated that this disorder is far more common than what is reported. Much more needs to be understood and methods of professional care vastly improved. It is too late for Nigel. It doesn't have to be too late for  the next victim.  Please donate.
