Craig's 2019 Telefonica Madrid to Telefonica Slough Cycle Challenge page

TDY, Ride London, Worlds Sportive and Madrid to Slough · 23 April 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Myself and colleagues from the UK and Spain are undertaking a mammoth charity cycle ride in aid of the NSPCC, taking us from our head office in Madrid, half the length of Spain to the port of Santander, before arriving in Portsmouth and on to our UK Head office in Slough.
This is by far the biggest cycling challenge I've ever encountered in my couple of years of road cycling and have already started to train hard for the event, to make sure I am fit and ready I have a couple of warm up events on the way to make sure that I am ready for the Spanish Hills.
I will start off with the Tour De Yorkshire Sportive (77 Miles) on the 5th of May then followed on the 4th of August with Ride London (100 miles) and finally the World Championships Sportive (90 Miles) on the 22nd Of September.
At this moment in time it’s going a little bit beyond what I can physically do but what will keep me going is that it’s for such a good cause and to a charity I have given to my whole adult life. It’s up to all of us to do everything possible to keep children safe from abuse, so children can grow up healthy and thrive. This is what the NSPCC is there for, and why, with your kind donations, the money raised will go towards making their world a safer place.
Below is what your donations will help to pay for
1. £5 could pay to answer one NSPCC Helpline call
2. £25 could pay for a trained practitioner to spend an hour with a family supporting parents to care for their children
3. £500 could pay for running the NSPCC help-line for one hour
4. £1,600 could pay to recruit, train and support a new volunteer
5. £30,000 for pay to run NSPCC Helpline for one day
